Services

Hospital Visits/Stays

These can be pre-scheduled to have Jacqueline come in and stay with you to help support and care for both
you and your newborn baby during your stay in hospital. Ranging from 24hrs-5days.
Emergency hospital stays can be arranged, subject to availability. Please call 416 450 4460 or go to our Contact
page to send an email.

Home Visits/Consultations-

These are scheduled in advance to provide information for the expectant family and the Maternity Night Nurse.
This time is used to help the family choose which type of service would be better along with helping them decide
how many nights they may need. This time is especially helpful to those on a budget as Jacqueline can help
determine hours/nights that would benefit the family most.
This time is also used to go over any items you may need to purchase for your new baby along with determining
if a hospital stay/visit will be needed. It is also a good idea just for the purpose of meeting Jacqueline and feeling
comfortable with the idea that she will be arriving the day you come home to take care of both you and your new
baby. Often mothers are quite nervous about the first night, therefore a home visit just to chat and get to know each
other is a good idea. After this mothers are more comfortable and happy... which in turn takes alot of pressure off the
entire process.

Night Nurse Hourly Care-

The hourly care is based on how many hours and if you have one baby or multiples. Please check our Rates
page for the differences in our fees.
A regular Night Nurse rate is based on 12hrs, however if you require less hours the rate is slightly more. Please
go to our Rates page to check all of our fees. On average most families work on a 7pm-7am basis where the
Maternity Nurse/Night Nurse will arrive at 7pm to bathe and feed the baby, working throughout the night
assisting with feeding if the mother is breastfeeding or bottle feeding, settling the baby and working through
till 7am. These hours can vary from 8pm-8am or 6pm-6am. It is advisable to have the Night Nurse arrive
before bath time and bedtime so that your baby can get into a routine. But talking with Jacqueline about this
before a booking will help you decide which time is best suited for you and your family.
Some families require 5-6 nights per week, others require 3-4 nights. Each family is different and last minute
bookings are subject to availability.
If you are booking in advance requesting an appointment to discuss this is advisable. So you can book
and plan ahead.

The Emergency Phone Support is FREE and subject to availability. If you have an emergency and need some help
in Routines, Breastfeeding Support etc please call 416 450 4460..Please state during the call/message that you are
just looking for advise and NOT to book overnight care.
